Russian court delays hearing of Rosneft-Sistema case to Jul 19
UFA, Jul 12 (PRIME) -- The Arbitration Court of the republic of Bashkortostan delayed hearing of a 170.6 billion ruble suit by oil major Rosneft and its unit Bashneft against multi-industry holding Sistema to July 19 following requests to list two Germans and company TannCAPITAL as third parties on Wednesday.
Sistema and its unit Sistema-Invest asked for an at least three-week period to prepare their position on the additions made by the claimants.
A minority shareholder of Bashneft Alexei Kislitsyn pled to list him as a co-claimant in the case. A Rosneft representative said that Kislitsyn is a professional lawyer and his action is an attempt at self-promotion and asked to decline the request.
The court declined a request to list a son of Sistema’s shareholder Vladimir Yevtushenkov, Felix, as a third party in the case.
Rosneft filed its suit in May, seeking to recover a loss stemming from an alleged asset stripping at Bashneft in 2009–2014 by Sistema.
